Sulentic & Tifft (1973)

The RNGC (Sulentic and Tifft 1973) notes that this is a 13.0 mag galaxy. Their coded description reads S,DKLNS,FDIFARMS SEV* SUP ON ARMS.

Modern observations

Walter Scott Houston

Houston calls this a challenging object, only about 1.5' diameter and about 13th magnitude. It is slightly oval and "will require at least a 10-inch."

15cm - fairly f, modlosfcbr @ 80x. 140x: oval elong ~E-W, 1'.25x1'. mod broad

concen w/o br core or nuc. BS, 27Nov1992, Anderson Mesa.

25cm - vf w/o concen core. less than 1' diam. BS.

30cm - fairly losfcbr, brtr center. mod concen, jumping halo [?] @ 140x. 220x:

core is 20" across w/o nuc, but there is occas a *ing nr center or just N

of it. halo irreg, poss elong SE-NW. f *s in vicinity. CBL.
