William Herschel (c.1784)

Synonyms: H II-755

Discovered in 1788 by William Herschel with an 18.7-inch f/13 speculum telescope. He called it "pB, pL, lE."

Sulentic & Tifft (1973)

The RNGC (Sulentic and Tifft 1973) notes that this is a 13.5 mag galaxy. Their coded description reads S,EL,BM,PD.

Steve Coe, using a 13" f/5.6, notes: "Faint, pretty small, elongated 2 X 1 in PA 135 and little brighter in the middle at 100X. This is a low surface brightness galaxy."

elong SE-NW, 1'.25x0'.8, or length ~sep of closest two *s in chain. wk
