QBS: vlosfcbr spiral. 1'.75 NNW of m9 *; m10.5 * 51" E. m14 triangle ~55"
W. 15cm obviously obs'd only core.
ESO-LV: B=10.9/14.0; 8'.7x2'.1 in pa32.
15cm - mod f diffuse glow @ 80x NNW of m9.5 * and W of m10.5 *. 140x: circ, 45" diam w/strong even concen. skinny triangle of m14 *s on W off halo. BS, 24Feb1990, LCO.
Cunningham, in an email message, notes that this galaxy is "very easily seen" in an 8-inch: "I want to stress that it was seen very well with an 8" f/6.6 reflector at 67x."
6-inch f/8.6 Newtonian: 1997-10-02, Franschoek Pass viewing site. U 452. Obvious haze and thin clouds, sky fairly bright around horizon. "Perhaps seen, as a small nebulous eF patch, near a small star. Uncertain."
