Historical observations

John Herschel (1847) Cape Observations

Discovered by Sir John Herschel at the Cape of Good Hope with an 18-inch f/13 speculum telescope. He recorded it as "pF, S, R, 12 arcseconds, makes an obtuse-angled triangle with 2 stars 7m at some distance." On a second occassion he called it "eF, R, 20 arcseconds, makes a triangle with two stars 7m."
