The RNGC (Sulentic and Tifft 1973) notes that this is a 13.0 mag galaxy. Their coded description reads S,R,WD,BM,SLDIFARMS COMPLEX CT REGION.
POSS: SA(s)bcII:. m15 * 36" in pa145, E of maj axis if anything. m13 pair 2'.5 in pa170 are 20" sep, pa135. * 2'.2 W. m14.5 *s ~40" pa170 and 1'.6 NE. gx vsl elong in pa~165.
UGC: no pa.
15cm - never.
- pretty f @ 80x. 140x: 40"x25" elong SE-NW. wk even concen to more nrly circ core. no nuc. m15 * 50" SE off tip sl W of maj axis. m13 pair S res @ 80x. triangle stars (cf. L&S) all vis @ 80x also. BS, 22Jun1990, Anderson Mesa.
25cm - fairly f. seems elong in pa105, 1'x0'.75. little concen to center, cigar shaped. f pair 4' S, nebulous @ 90x.
- pretty f, but vis @ 95x. 190x: wide pair 3' S; S 1' is m14.5 *. neb is capsule-shaped, elong N-S, 30"x20". vbroad cen brtning, no nuc condens. BS, 6Jun1981, Slate Mtn.
30cm - nice(!). vis easily @ 149x, smooth. 238x: mod concen to elong core. 1'x0'.8 overall, elong E-W. uneven outline. f sparkle as or just S of nuc. dbl * to S, also one to W: gx forms triangle w/these. also m14.5 * NE, thus forming triangle around gx.
