NGC 6439. I've used the finding chart in Steve Hynes book "Planetary Nebulae" to identify this planetary. Some lists have mistakenly pointed at the star about an arcminute to the north-northeast.
The RNGC (Sulentic and Tifft 1973) notes that this is a 14.0 mag planetary nebula.
1995-06-01: 11x80. Kelsey Farm. 23:00 SAST. This is another of those uncertain objects - Im not certain if I see it. Difficult to be definite - I see several stars fainter than those shown on the U2000, and I see a faint little star very near - or almost at - the position of the planetary shownon the map. Higher power needed.
