Ivan King ("Some New Galactic Clusters", Harvard Bulletin No. 919, p41, 1949) recorded this cluster "during an examination of long-exposure photographs made with the sixteen-inch Metcalf refractor..." King notes this suspected cluster, which may only be due to a chance grouping, measures 4', consists of star estimated 12-16th magnitude, and is poor.
