A bright nebula within Barnard's Galaxy, NGC 6822.
Wolfgang Steinicke (Revised NGC and IC, 2009) notes that it is also catalogued as LBN 83.
Lynds' "Catalogue of Bright Nebulae" lists No. 83 as measuring 10 x 8 arcmin, area = 0.017 sq deg, colour rating C = 2 ("about equal on both red and blue Palomar plates") and brightness rating B = 4 (1=brightest to 6=barely detectable).
